SALfreshVSO-68 is sold exclusively through Pharmalink Services Europe in Europe and through Green Source Organics in the United States.
The oil is processed within 75 minutes of the salmon being removed from the Norwegian arctic sea water. It is then kept under nitrogen and stored at –20°C until shipment.
The separation of the oil takes place in a completely physical process, using a Tricanter. The oil is never heated above 90°C. Natural vitamins and antioxidants are retained and there is no alteration of the fatty acids. We do not process with high temperatures of 200°C. This is standard when distilling oils to achieve higher PUFA contents. It can cause fatty acids to switch to their trans–configuration, which has been proven to be harmful.
No chemicals or pigments are added during the production of SALfreshVSO-68to manipulate colour or aroma. The only use a patented antioxidant mixture called Polarox™ which is added at a minimum percentage (0,17%) to retain stability and freshness.
SALfreshVSO-68has a pleasant and mild aroma typical of fresh raw salmon. No strong fishy smell, fresh taste, no eructation. SALfreshVSO-68is so fresh gourmets use our oil for salad dressing.
SALfreshVSO-68is produced from salmon that are farmed in the Norwegian Arctic Ocean, latitude 68°, under controlled aqua culture using only high quality feeds. All manufacturing sites are HACCP and GMP certified.
SALfreshVSO-68is 100% pure salmon oil. It is not concentrated or altered by distillation or chemicals. The natural nutrient-matrix is retained, which results in an elevated bioavailability of EPA and DHA. This includes 15% MUFA content — according to latest clinical studies, MUFAs "catalyse" the DHA und EPA uptake.
One batch = one production run. SALfreshVSO-68is never blended from different batches. The batch number and date of production are always easily identifiable.
